Homogeneity is a very scary word...It is in the name of homogeneity that homosexuals, Muslims, Jews, atheists, hard drinking pub trotting women, disabled and the likes have been killed, beaten, discriminated for ages.
We all want to live in a world where everything, everyone around us is 'normal'. Now normal means someone, something that does not challenge the dominant value, it leaves very little space and tolerance for change. Even the abnormal/paranormal have to follow the sickening values of normalcy.
To justify our values of normalcy and the complacent homogeneity we often revert to the animal kingdom..."look how there is no homosexuality in animals, the weak and disabled are eliminated, it is the female of the species who look after the young ones, have you ever seen a black swan in a herd of white ones"
All these statements are highly erroneous because they only look at selective examples within the animal kingdom...but my point is why when we assume to be the most highly developed species, with a brain and logical deduction, do we fall back on the more primitive and basic relationships of the fauna world?
